A cycling companion that records routes, tracks e-bike power, and supports rogaining
Records routes, shows live ride stats, and pairs with regenerative e-bike hardware for power metrics and CO2 tracking. SEEKCROW, from eForce Co., Ltd., targets cyclists who document rides and join navigation events. The app bundles GPS route recording, an event checkpoint system for rogaining, offline GPS resilience in low-signal areas, and a community feed for local discoveries, making it useful for bicycle tourists and outdoor navigation participants who want to keep structured ride logs and explore off-the-beaten-path spots.
What is SEEKCROW used for?
SEEKCROW functions as a ride recorder and an event platform for navigation sports, combining GPS trajectory logging with event checkpoints and photo-sharing. The app saves distance, duration, and the path traveled while offering an event mode where users visit checkpoints within time limits and answer quiz items. This setup supports documenting leisure rides and competing in rogaining-style navigation without requiring separate tools for tracking and event validation.
How accurate is SEEKCROW's GPS tracking in remote areas?
The app keeps local GPS records when mobile signal is poor and synchronizes data later, which preserves route integrity in remote terrain. Real-time cycle readouts display current speed and elapsed time on screen, and the stored trajectory includes distance and timestamps. These behaviors show the app maintains continuity of route data during signal loss rather than discarding or fragmenting the track.
Does SEEKCROW connect to regenerative bicycles and what data does it show?
When paired to compatible hardware, SEEKCROW records power usage, regenerative energy harvested, and estimated CO2 reduction for specific e-bike models. The connection may use Bluetooth, and the app exposes metrics that reflect the bicycle's energy flows rather than only rider speed. This targeted hardware integration stems from the developer's embedded software and IoT experience and requires compatible cycle components to produce those measurements.
What social and event features support local discovery and rogaining?
The app includes a community feed where cyclists post photos and local recommendations, which users can browse to find lesser-known landmarks and stops. Event functionality supports checkpoint validation and interactive quizzes, letting organizers set tasks and participants confirm visits. These combined elements turn individual route logging into a shared discovery system tied to organized navigation events, not just a standalone mapping utility.
Who should choose SEEKCROW and when it fits best
SEEKCROW suits leisure cyclists, bicycle tourists, and navigation-event participants who want a single tool for route records, community-sourced local points, and event validation. Its focus on regenerative-bike telemetry and rogaining makes it especially relevant for eco-conscious riders and competitors. Casual commuters or users who need a generic navigation map without event features may find the app more specialized than necessary.
